Group polls
A poll finds a time for a group: pick a few free times, share one link, then book the time the answers favour.
BetaGroup polls are in beta for every team: they work, and some details may still change as teams use them. Tell us what you find at info@quantimeet.com.
Who can use it
- Every member. Each person makes polls from their own event types and sees only their own polls.
- The people you ask. No account: they open the link, give a name and an email address, and answer.
Make a poll
- Select Group polls in your dashboard's sidebar. On a phone it is under More.
- Under New poll, choose the Event type. The meeting takes its length and location from it, a video room included.
- Pick up to 10 free times, a week at a time with Earlier and Later, up to 60 days ahead. They are the times your booking page offers, in your own time zone.
- Add a Title (the event type's, if left empty) and, if you like, a note for the people you invite.
- Choose when Answers close: in 7, 3 or 1 days (or at the last time, if sooner), or when the first or the last time starts.
- If you like, list up to 30 email addresses under Who you are inviting: the poll then shows who has not answered. QuantiMeet does not email them.
- Select Make the poll, then Copy link, and send the link yourself.
What the people you ask see
Each time in their own time zone (they can pick another), and how many said yes, if needed or no to it, never who. They answer every time, enter their name and email, and select Send my answers. From the same browser, they can change their answers until answers close.
Book the time
- Open the poll under Your polls: each time shows who said yes, if needed or no. One is marked as the suggestion: more yes answers first, then more if needed, then fewer no, then the earlier time.
- Select Book this time. After answers close, you can still book a time that is ahead.
- Everyone who answered goes on the booking, even someone who said no to that time, and gets the booking confirmation. While answers are open, Remove takes a person off the poll.
- It is a normal booking: your video room, the confirmation emails and your calendar. The poll then closes. Close without booking ends a poll with no meeting.
Limits
- Your own event types only: not your team's round-robin or collective ones, and not one with seats, repeats, a price, a required question you added, guests turned off, a location the booker types in, or email verification for bookers. The event type list says why one cannot be used.
- Up to 50 people a poll, and 25 open polls per person.
- A poll cannot be changed once made: close it and make a new one. Someone who answered cannot take it back; you can remove them while answers are open.
- QuantiMeet sends no email for a poll but the booking confirmation, once you book a time.
- Anyone with the link can answer, under any name and address, and goes on the booking: share it only with the people you are meeting.
