Routing forms
A routing form asks a few questions at your team's own address, then sends each person where they belong: the right event type, a member's booking page, or a page of your own.
LiveRouting forms are live for every team, on the Routing forms page of your dashboard.
Who can do what
- Owner and admins. Make, change and delete forms, and delete responses.
- Members. Read every form and its responses. A booking a response led to opens for its host, the owner and the admins; other members see only that there is one.
Make a form
- Select Routing forms in your dashboard's sidebar (under More on a phone), then New form. A new form starts off, with a sample question and everyone sent to your own booking page.
- Under Form, set the Title, the Address after /forms/ (letters, digits and hyphens) and an optional Description.
- Under Questions, add up to 20: Text (one line or several), Single choice, Multiple choice (2 to 30 options), Email or Phone. Each takes optional help text and a Required box.
- Under Rules, select Add rule: When all or any of its conditions are true, Then send them to an event type, a member's booking page or another website.
- In Otherwise, set the place for everyone else.
- Tick On: anyone with the link can use this form, select Save, then Copy link and share it where people find you.
How the rules decide
- Rules are checked from the top, and the first one that matches decides. Move a rule with Up and Down.
- A condition looks at one answer: for text, email and phone, is, is not, contains, starts with and the like; for choices, is, is any of, includes, includes all of and the like; for any question, is answered or is not answered. Up to 30 rules, each with up to 10 conditions.
- A rule can send people to one of your team's round-robin or collective event types, a member's own event type (a hidden one too: it stays off your public pages), a member's booking page, or a web address that starts with https://.
- If a rule names an event type or a member that is gone, the person goes where Otherwise sends them. If that is gone too, they see a thank-you message.
Responses
- Select Responses beside a form: the newest first, 50 to a page, in your own time zone. Each shows the answers, where the form sent the person, and the booking it led to.
- A booking is stored with its response when it is made within 30 days, at the place the form sent them.
- "Possible spam" marks answers that filled in a field people never see. They are kept for you to check.
- Deleting a response, or a whole form with Delete form, keeps the bookings they led to.
Limits
- A visitor can send 3 answers a minute and 20 an hour, across all your team's forms. A form takes up to 300 responses an hour, and your team up to 3,000 a day. Past that, people are asked to try again later.
- A response cannot be edited, only deleted. When you ask us for a copy of your team's data, responses are in it: see Your data.
- A form that is off shows a page-not-found message.
